Acupuncture
What is acupuncture?
Acupuncture is the practice of penetrating the skin with thin, solid, metallic needles which are then activated through gentle and specific movements of the practitioner’s hands or with electrical stimulation. Acupuncture points stimulate the central nervous system, releasing neurotransmitters that aid the body in returning to homeostasis. These biochemical changes may relieve pain, stimulate the body’s natural healing abilities and promote physical and emotional well-being.
Acupuncture is a therapeutic tool of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine). TCM is a comprehensive review of systems, accounting for the whole body and any miscellaneous factors that may affect our health (i.e. lifestyle, diet, and environment.). It is centered around the belief that every symptom is related to a root cause – nothing is random, and disease arises due to an imbalance in the body. TCM is used to assess, diagnose, and plan a course of treatment for a patient. Acupuncture is one of many tools that A.P.’s can use to treat an imbalance in the body.

Massage Therapy
What types of massage therapy do you offer?
We offer 30-minute, 60-minute, and 90-minute massage sessions where our our licensed massage therapists use therapeutic techniques to reduce muscle tension and pain, or simply provide a relaxation massage.
We also offer:
- Massage and Avazzia biofeedback microcurrent service
- This session is primarily focused on pain relief. It combines 30 minutes of therapeutic massage with up to 30 minutes of Avazzia to relieve pain, inflammation, and relax tight muscles. Each session will be designed to target specific problem areas.
- Massage and Cupping
- This session is great for addressing tight, stubborn muscles that don’t relax easily. The cupping helps to break up myofascial adhesions, or sticking between layers of muscle and connective tissue, while increasing blood flow to the area. The increased circulation to the area oxygenates the tissue, removes metabolic waste, and delivers nutrients to the tissue. The cupping prepares the body to respond and relax more during the massage portion of the session.
Cupping
What is cupping?
Fire cupping uses negative pressure on the skin to lift the surrounding tissue and muscle, allowing more blood and oxygen to reach the associated area. This treatment method feels similar to a massage and the pressure used differs for each patient’s preference. Fire cupping uses heat to create this negative pressure, while other forms of cupping use suction.
What is cupping used to treat?
Cupping is commonly used to relieve back and neck pains, stiff muscles, anxiety, fatigue, migraines, rheumatism, reduce blood pressure, and even cellulite
Gu Sha
What is gu sha?

“Gua sha is a natural, alternative therapy that involves scraping your skin with a massage tool to improve your circulation. This ancient Chinese healing technique may offer a unique approach to better health, addressing issues like chronic pain.
In gua sha, a technician scrapes your skin with short or long strokes to stimulate microcirculation of the soft tissue, which increases blood flow. They make these strokes with a smooth-edged instrument known as a gua massage tool. The technician applies massage oil to your skin, and then uses the tool to repeatedly scrape your skin in a downward motion.”

What are cosmetic acupuncture and microneedling?
Cosmetic Acupuncture, also known as Facial Acupuncture, increases circulation of blood in the face and body using acupuncture needles or a microneedling device. As a needle is inserted into the area, collagen expands due to the micro-trauma, and the wrinkle diminishes. This process firms the skin, fills in wrinkles and promotes a youthful glow. Added benefits can include stimulating the immune response, reduced inflammation, reduced jaw tension, and relieving anxiety.
Facial acupuncture also addresses internal conditions because the meridians and TCM organ systems are Also found on the face.
